Astellas Oncology proudly supports the Marie Keating Foundations Get Men Talking campaign. Astellas proudly supported the Foundation’s Get Men Talking microsite as well as the Heroes of Hope campaign which tells the stories of 15 men who have been through prostate cancer. The Heroes of Hope campaign is available to view online and also appears as on outdoor exhibition. It has visited Connolly and Heuston Station, the Aviva and hospital locations nationwide. Astellas also kindly helped the Foundation to hold men’s health seminars around the country. Each seminar included expert speakers from oncology and urology backgrounds, cancer survivors and mindfulness experts.

Fairyhouse supports the Marie Keating Foundation by hosting the only Ladies Steeplechase in Ireland in aid of the Marie Keating Foundation. Leading Irish jockeys Katie Walsh, Nina Carberry and Rachael Blackmore were amongst some of the top talents that take part and is proudly sponsored by Today FM. The event is such a success, it is now a staple part of Fairyhouse’s prestigious Easter Festival.

October 2018 was the eighth year of our pink partnership with Harvey Norman. Harvey Norman worked closely with one of their Irish suppliers to design and handcraft their 4,000 pocket sprung (5ft), hypoallergenic “Marie” Mattress for their Sleep Pink fundraising campaign this October in aid of the Marie Keating Foundation. Harvey Norman will donate €100 for every “Marie” Mattress sold throughout September and October and it’s available in stores nationwide.

The Marie Keating Foundation’s nurses are currently holding interactive workshops and seminars with disadvantaged communities around Ireland, including Youth Reach groups, traveller groups and homeless groups. These groups are more likely to develop cancer than the general population so with the Medtronic Foundation’s support, the nursing team are holding these workshops to talk about cancer prevention and early detection.
Newly established MyLotto24 has become a corporate partner of the Marie Keating Foundation.
The company is supporting the Marie Keating Foundation’s ‘Comfort Fund’ which provides financial help to people who are receiving treatment for cancer and who find themselves in financial difficulty as a result. Newstalk has been a long standing supporter of the Marie Keating Foundation. The leading radio station came on board as the media partner of the Foundation’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month October campaign, carrying radio adverts around breast awareness during the month.
Newstalk also generously sponsors the annual Newstalk Christmas Lunch for the Marie Keating Foundation, which takes place in the Shelbourne Hotel each December. In 2017, the lunch raised in excess of €30,000 which supported the Foundation’s many cancer services, including our Comfort Fund, helping families who are struggling financially as a result of a cancer diagnosis.
