Join Our Survive and Thrive Programme
At the Marie Keating Foundation, we understand that life after cancer treatment is a unique and transformative journey, and we are dedicated to helping you navigate this path and help you adapt to the ‘new normal’.
Our Survive and Thrive programme, proudly supported by Nicorette, helps people who have finished cancer treatment to live their best lives after treatment and find their new normal after a cancer diagnosis.
The eight-week programme consists of workshops and seminars and includes information and support from nurses, as well as peer to peer advice from other survivors on issues that cancer survivors often face including: coping with emotions, feelings and change; fatigue and other symptoms; managing stress and anxiety; changing nutritional needs and addressing physical activity as important factors in making longer term goals and objectives in life after cancer.
Sometimes the courses are for men or women only and sometimes they are mixed. Attendees are welcome to bring a friend or family member to support them through the course/day.
Some of the programmes are in person, while others take place remotely.
All courses and seminars are free to attend but places are limited and registration is essential.

Our Survive and Thrive programmes make a huge difference in the lives of people who take part.
"Found the course really good – it was lovely to meet other people like me and to find out that my worries were not alone!"
"There is absolutely nothing to improve, it is such a good course and I have recommended it to people that I know that have gone through treatment."
Helen Forristal, our Director of Nursing Services, said, “There are now more than 215,000 people in Ireland who have survived cancer which is heartening and gives great hope to people going through cancer treatment at the moment. However, we also have to acknowledge that surviving cancer comes with its own unique challenges. Survivors can struggle with learning to cope with the ‘new normal.’ Everyone will have their own unique experiences and responses but by coming together and by getting information and support , this adjustment can be made a lot easier and we are looking forward to helping people who have been through cancer treatment not only to survive but also to thrive.”
Join us in embracing life beyond cancer. Together, we will navigate the road to survivorship, celebrating all things big and small.
