Join the Marie Keating Foundation on a one-day walking taster tour of the Celtic Camino in Ireland this 11th September 2021.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic and the uncertainty of how things will be for the remainder of 2020 we have decided to reschedule our Celtic Camino to the Spring of 2022, Saturday May 22nd to 29th to be exact.
You can view the itinerary of our Spring 2022 event here. It looks amazing and I do hope that you can join us then.
However for this year we are hosting a one day taster of what our week will be like and that will be on Saturday September 11th 2021
- Meet in car park by the beach in Ardmore, Co. Waterford at 9.45am to start walking at 10am. Please bring a small packed lunch as we will be stopping at around 12 noon we will also be invited to some reflective moments along our way led by Dr Phil Brennan and his wife Elaine. This is a unique ‘time-out’ tailored to suit our group.
- We will take in a loop along St. Declan’s Way that dates back to the 5th Century AD. Here, by the shoreline, we are very much walking in the steps of those who have gone before. The views overlooking the Bay are beautiful.
- After lunch, we will take in the Cliff Walk in Ardmore as we descend into this old monastic village on the hill. Time to soak in the beauty and the solitude, or even take a dip in the sea.
- At around 3pm we will have a meal in the wonderful White Horses Restaurant.
- Leave for home.
The cost for the day is €150 per person which will include your meal when we come back to Ardmore and also a Marie Keating Foundation goodie bag.
We hope that you will be able to join us!
