As part of our mission to ‘make cancer less frightening by enlightening’ and our response to the COVID-19 crisis, the Marie Keating Foundation with the support of Roche, are delighted to bring a six-part webinar series for cancer patients, survivors and their families looking at all aspects of health and well-being while at home during COVID-19.
We recognise that for cancer patient and survivors COVID-19 has brought with it a heightened sense of anxiety and vulnerability. Despite restrictions with social distancing and cocooning, it is imperative that we remain together as a community while we are apart and offer support and advice to anyone who needs it during this challenging time.
In developing this six-part webinar series we have tried to ensure that we cover topics across a range of subject focussing on FAQ’s, COVID and cancer and how to stay healthy and well, both physically and mentally, while at home. We are so grateful to our sponsor Roche for their ongoing support of our work and this series and to the experts who are contributing to it for giving so generously of their time and expertise.
The six-part series is designed to be enjoyed as a series and is free to register for but if preferred individual sessions can be subscribed to. Once registered for a webinar, the link will be shared with those signed up two days before the session and an on-demand version of each session will be shared after.
This week’s webinar is titled:
Managing stress and anxiety re: hospital visits and scans – FAQ to your treatment physician during COVID-19
Professor Michaela Higgins
