Final Line up Revealed – Concert4Cancer

Full line-up of Concert4Cancer revealed as follow-on 2nd concert on the Virgin Media Player announced

Top Irish and UK musicians come together to help raise vital funds for the Marie Keating Foundation’s cancer support services nationwide

The full line up of tonight’s Concert4Cancer has been revealed with just hours to go to the televised music event of the year.

Top musicians from Ireland and the UK will take to the stage for this night-in not to be missed, all helping to raise vital funds for cancer support and survivorship services across the country.

The Marie Keating Foundation’s income has been devastated by the COVID-19 pandemic, down an estimated 35-40%. This comes at a time when the demand for their services has increased  dramatically and the Foundation has had to mobilise and move services on-line to ensure it continues to support cancer patients and survivors at every step of their journey, especially at a time when they need it most.

The concert, brought to you by the Permanent TSB Community Fund and presented by Anna Daly, will feature Ronan Keating, Gary Barlow, Gavin James, Kodaline, Lisa Lambe, The Coronas, Phil Coulter, Riverdance and Nathan Carter and so much more.

The Foundation was overwhelmed by the generosity offered by so many musicians and entertainers that a second follow-on concert has been announced, including amazing names such as the HotHouse Flowers, Paddy Casey, Aoife Scott, Daniel and Majella O’Donnell, Josh Keating, The 4 of Us and Camille O’Sullivan which will go live on the Virgin Media Player on XXX and will be available for 30 days.

Liz Yeates CEO of the Marie Keating Foundation explains “this whole project has been an amazingly humbling experience for all of us at the Foundation. So many brilliant artists and musicians have given of their time and talent so freely to support the concert and our work that we simply couldn’t fit everyone in to just one concert and so thanks to Virgin Media we are delighted to announce ‘Concert4Cancer Continued’ which will be another feature length two-hour music spectacular, with more special guests and patient ambassador stories. COVID has been a very difficult challenge for us with so many of those we support in need of help at a time when we have been unable to fundraise. Without government funding we have had to make very hard decisions and prioritise some services. We are so grateful to everyone who has worked so hard to make this concert a reality for us and we are hopeful that the generosity of the Irish public on Friday night will mean we can restore our full services and ensure we are supporting as many people on the cancer journey as possible.”

The Marie Keating Foundation is proud to have the support of media partners Extra.ie, Communicorp Media’s ‘Music and Entertainment’ stations, Today FM, 98FM, SPIN 1038 and SPIN Southwest and Irish Music Magazine, as well as its title sponsor the Permanent TSB Community Fund for this inaugural Concert4Cancer.
