Getting on board is simple: just pick a date to go pink and get everyone in your organisation or school to all wear pink and donate €2 to the Marie Keating Foundation – and that is exactly what Blue Insurance did.
Blue Insurance, an award winning home and car insurance provider decided to host a morning that promoted both of the Marie Keating Foundation’s fundraising initiatives, Think Pink and Do Blue.
Think Pink and Do Blue have been running successfully among many businesses, schools and institutions every February over the last few years and it’s a day that the team at Blue Insurance really enjoy.
“We hope to encourage other business to do the same as it was not only a great opportunity to raise funds for a great cause, but also to have fun with colleagues”, said Camila Mello, Blue’s Digital Marketing Specialist.
With the help of the Marie Keating Foundation, who provided posters, balloons, merchandises, Blue Insurance staff all came together wearing either blue or pink clothes and brought delicious pink confectionery goods for a very special breakfast: from pink French fancies to some home baked cupcakes and angel slices complete with pink ribbons.
Once the fun was over and the last of the cakes were taken home in tin foil to happy family members and friends, the coffee morning box sat in the canteen with €400 worth of donations.
